First, thanks to Macoosh and kid for welcoming me and helping me get this blog going. It's nice to know there are actually people at the end of the blog!
Today I played kitchen wench, something I don't often do. Don't get me wrong....I can cook and I can sometimes get creative but today I was on a roll. I baked some kind of berry crumb cobbler thing and then fried up the green peppers and onions. I picked some basil from the garden (OMG! Our 1st garden. Hope I don't turn into earth woman) I made this chicken dish with chopped tomatoes, a fresh zucchini, a can of cream of celery soup and of course the basil. Made some tuna salad for lunches and now I'm pooped. But not too tired to eat. You see, because of my upcoming surgery, I quit smoking a couple weeks ago and I've not been without regular food or chocolate since. I've only gained about 4 pounds so far but I'm waiting until after surgery to start dieting. Maybe I'll throw in some different exercises, too. Toddler chasing has helped me keep my weight in check but I'd like to lose a bit more poundage. And with new titties, I might be more inclined to trim down a bit.
Well, another day has slipped by and I'm ready to turn in. I think we're getting a big t-storm, judging by the sound of thunder not so far off. I don't mind the noise while I try to drift off . I just hate those ginormous thunder claps that sound as though your roof is about to fly off and your're wondering where your ruby slippers are!
So that's all for now. Tomorrow, huz and I see my plastic surgeon (aka "the boob guy") so he can explain in detail all the horrors that I shall endure and who gets to change the dressing with an accent on "sex at this time is probably not conducive to your wife's recovery". At least I hope that's what he says. I think after all this is over, poor huz will welcome changing nuclear diapers any time!

Welcome to my blog
I finally decided to "blog it up" and start ranting. Or maybe just start looking for comments to anything I decide to write.
These days Amma has a lot on her mind. Last month, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. But not to worry. It's non-invasive and rather than opt for a lumpectomy, I'll get the whole thing removed and get a new one. I'm finding out more and more about this whole procedure and the fact that insurance covers replacement boobs is awesome! And since my right one may now not look as good as my new left one, the plastic guy will "alter" that one, too. Unfortunately, I can't use the belly fat for replacement due to the c-section scare from so long ago. But I do get a new rack and it will be a little higher than the current one.
So my outlook is positive, even tho my surgeon likes to throw me a slight "curve" once in awhile.
And it'll all be overwith in 3 weeks and then I can get back to being foster mom to a delightful 2 year old that we'll be adopting. I'm nuts and I know it but the kids keep you young and I really hate getting old!
